What BusMate is
BusMate is a platform that lets passengers book seats on trips run by independent private bus operators, and lets those operators list their buses, routes, and schedules. BusMate is not itself a bus operator — the operator you book with is responsible for the actual journey.
Fares and fees
Ticket prices are calculated from the official NTC fare for the bus's class and route distance — operators cannot set their own price. A separate, clearly shown service fee is added at checkout to cover the cost of running BusMate.
Booking and cancellation
A booking is confirmed once payment is verified. You can cancel a booking before the cutoff time shown at checkout, following the refund rule stated for that trip. Selecting a seat holds it temporarily — it isn't confirmed until payment goes through.
Operator listings
Operators self-declare their NTC route permit number when registering; BusMate reviews new applications before a listing goes live, and checks more closely if a passenger reports a problem. If you believe an operator or listing is fraudulent, please report it.
Your responsibilities
Provide accurate passenger names and a working phone number or email address — your ticket and any updates are sent there. Carry valid identification for travel, as the operator may require.

We may update these terms as BusMate develops. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date.
